Title: Sructure-Preserving Algorithms for Palindromic Quadratic Eigenvalue Problems and It’s Applications
Abstract: In this talk we introduce palindromic quadratic eigenvalue problems (P-QEPs) and the associated nonlinear matrix equations (NMEs). These P-QEPs problems are typically raised from engineering designs such as vibration analysis for fast trains, Green's function calculation in nano research and surface acoustic wave filtering etc. We prove the existence and the uniqueness of the stabilizing complex symmetric solution and propose structure-preserving (doubling) algorithms for NMEs and P-QEPs. Numerical results show the efficiency and reliability of proposed structure-preserving algorithms.
